- Abstract:
The article analyzes the impact of the attack on Hawaii-based Pearl Harbor, on various flights. The Pacific Clipper, one of three Pan Am Clippers airborne over the Pacific during the attack, was commanded by Captain by H. Lanier Turner. The Philippine Clipper, a Martin M-130 which was commanded by Captain John H. Hamilton, was on its way from Wake Island to Guam when the radio operator received the news from Pearl Harbor. The Clipper was landed at Wake.
