      The article argues that the concept of women's rights is a complex subject that cannot be universal. It claims that the U.S. cannot assume that it can define women's rights in other cultures in the same ways that it is defined in the country. The differences in the views of different cultures on women and women's rights are emphasized. The article claims that cultural differences also influence views on sex role.
