      The article discusses the relationship between apolipoprotein E (apoE) and coronary disease. The effect of apoE on lipoprotein metabolism and the vasculature is considered. The anti-atherogenic properties of apoE are identified. Evidences on the clear association of apoE and atherosclerosis are presented.
