    • Abstract:
The article presents an abstract of the research paper "Glutamine is Converted to Glutamate in the Extracellular Space of the Rat Brain." It will be presented in the joint meeting of the International Society for Neurochemistry and the European Society of Neurochemistry that will be held in Berlin, Germany from August 8-14, 1999. Both in vivo and in vitro, as a main triggering factor for neuronal excitotoxicity, increased extracellular concentration of glutamate has been implicated.
