    • Abstract:
The article discusses the generation of American youths who are active in gaming culture and examines the characteristics of this demographic. The gaming community is composed primarily of teenaged males, who are also the population considered to be the most traditionally "underserved" by libraries; for this reason, the author suggests that libraries incorporate gaming into their services as a means to reach out to that group. The gaming generation numbers around ninety million and their entertainment, education, and values will have a profound impact on future society.
