Chapter VI of book one of "The Life of B. Katharine Tegakoüita: Now Called the Holy Savage," is presented. It discusses the baptism of Katharine Tekakwitha. Before her baptism, the French Jesuits established missions in her village. It was Father James de Lamberville who encouraged her to go to the chapel and pray. On Easter Sunday, she was solemnly baptized and given the name Katharine.
