Information about the United Nations Global Youth Leadership Summit which was held in New York City from October 29 to 31, 2006 is presented. During the summit, over 350 youth meet with the world's top leaders and experts to combat poverty, promote gender equality and eradicate disease. They also devised a blueprint for achieving the Millennium Development Goals in their home countries by the 2015 deadline.
