      The article presents information on the Global Youth Leadership Summit held in October 2006, in New York. The summit was hosted by the United Nations (UN). It invited two youth delegates from each of its 192 member states to speak as representatives of their countries. The focus of the summit was the UN's Millennium Development Goals including plans to reduce world poverty, increase access to education, improve gender relations and stop the spread of AIDS.
