    • Abstract:
      The article presents information on the flora of Montenegro, which mostly consists of medicinal plants. Out of 3,136 vascular plants found in Montenegro, 659 species are medicinal. Around 174 species found in the coastal region have recognized medicinal value. Three of the top 15 largest selling herbs on world markets are wild-harvested in Montenegro, including valerian and bilberry.
