The article discusses a case study on occipital neuropathy, the occurrence of headache in diabetes which is caused by irritation or injury to the greater occipital nerve. According to the British International Headache Society, it is a paroxysmal jabbing pain accompanied by diminished sensation or dyaesthesia in the affected area. Key information on case histories of patients with occipital neuropathy are presented.
