The article cites a study on the recurrence of bullying patterns beyond high school in the U.S. A study of 119 undergraduates indicates that bullying persist until college, though in a smaller percentage and in verbal form. Bullying in schools has been found to be indicative of mental health problems such as depression and suicidal thoughts on college students. A researcher, Mark Chapell, suggests recognizing of bullying as a factor in the increasing rate of mental disturbances.
