This articles presents information about how schools can come up with better ways to pay for extra curricular activities for students other than having the students pay for them. Dianne L Hoff and Sidney N. Mitchell suggest that charging fees can cause school systems to begin to lose oversight over the activity and can cause legal problems down the road. It is suggested that conferences could work together to cut costs by sharing transportation costs and eliminating expensive training camps.
