El concepto de representación social constituye un conjunto de conceptos, declaraciones y explicaciones originadas en la vida cotidiana en el curso de las comunicaciones interindividuales (Moscovici, 1984). De este modo se transforma en un instrumento conceptual y metodológico que nos permite la reflexión sobre los procesos de construcción y significación del discurso sobre la vejez (personal y social). Dentro del marco de calidad de vida y con un nuevo paradigma sobre educación, el adulto viejo es considerado como un ser integrado, holístico. A través de un proceso de autoconocimiento que le permita vitalizar sus capacidades, estimular sus "limitaciones" y "cre -- ser" (desde su propio ser). Esto supone tener en cuenta, no sólo lo que puede realizar desde su intelecto, sino también como va interactuando con las emociones y con los otros. El estar en contacto con un área como son las emociones, desde la inteligencia emocional, les permite reflexionar sobre la vida cotidiana, dándole un nuevo sentido que afianza y reconstruye permanentemente su autoestima. También, desde una nueva concepción de aprendizaje, evaluación e interacción social, donde al conocimiento compartido se le suma el deseo de aprender, el placer, el bienestar. The concept of social representation constitutes a set of concepts, declarations and explanations originated in the daily life, in the course of the interindividual communications (Moscovici, 1984).In this way it is transformed into a conceptual and methodologie instrument that allows to the reflection on the processes of construction and meaning us of the speech on the oldness (personal and social). Within the frame of quality of life and with a new paradigm on education the old adult is considered like an integrated being, holistic. Through a self-knowledge process that allows him to vitalize its capacities, to stimulate its limitations and to grow (from its own self). This supposes to consider, not only what can make from its intellect, but also as it interacting with the emotion and the others. Being in contact with an area as they are the emotions from emotional intelligence, allows them to reflect on the daily life giving a new sense him reconstructs its self-esteem permanently. Also from a new conception of learning evaluation and social interaction where to the shared knowledge desire is added to him learn, the pleasure, the well-being.
