- Abstract:
The article presents the author's comment on the link between human morality and animal sociality. Emotions nudge an organism towards rapid decisions based on millions of years of evolution, and provide a window on behavioral adaptation. Social norms are enforced by humans to dictate how people treat each others and to promote communal interests. However, at morality's core one find an ancient primate psychology.
