      The article discusses events in history that took place in November. In 1956, Soviet troops entered Budapest (Hungary) to put down the Revolution. Wildlife biologists announced in 1981 that the blackfooted ferret, thought to have been extinct, was discovered to be living in Wyoming. Rains collapsed the Arno River's embankment in 1966, flooding Florence (Italy), killing 40 people, and destroying millions of rare books and works of art. Jeannette Rankin was elected as the first female congresswoman in 1916.
