      The article comments on the failure of Springfield Finance Control Board in the economic and community development of the city. It is informed that people, that the board elects to office, are essentially removed from their authority, and the job of operating their municipality is then placed in the hands of appointed officials from Boston. The city has to focus on matters that most affect economic development and the overall health and well-being of the city.
