      This article presents updates on the article "These Guys Are Really Rich" that appeared in "Chicago" in October 1977. When the magazine's rich list first appeared, nine families from Chicago, Illinois were estimated to be worth than $100 million. Of the original rich people, five are worth at least $1 billion in 1995. A chart that lists the richest people in the city, as well as their net worth in 1977 and 1995, is given.
