      The article presents an outlook on the state of global habitats for 2007. More Americans will move to rural areas than to urban areas, with people 65 or older having the highest share. The growth of Internet use will change the living patterns and urban populations. Corporations will relocate their headquarters to metropolitan areas mainly for networking purposes. It is predicted that 75% of U.S. residents will migrate to coastal areas by 2025. Far-flung communities might disappear along with the end of an oil-based economy.
