    • Abstract:
The article discusses the cost-effectiveness of using voice-over Internet Protocol (VoIP) as depicted in the strategy used by Visiting Nurse Service Inc. in the U.S. and the public schools in Saskatchewan. The use of VoIP enables the two entities to reduce the cost spent in telecommunication and information technology. Moreover, they found that VoIP provides an enhanced service compared to the conventional Centrex. It is expected that the two entities will save around $900,000 every year after bring VoIP in-house.
