This article presents information on public master classes given by Herbert von Karajan at the Juilliard School and classes given by Elisabeth Schwarzkopf and Walter Legge. Karajan worked with a group of student conductors on several pieces, including "Don Juan," by Strauss, Brahm's First Symphony and "The Right of Spring."
