    • Abstract:
This article focuses on Republican lobbyist Ed Rogers and his wife Edwina's mansion, Surrey Hill (in McLean, Virginia), paid for by the wealth of the Republican lobbying industry. Rogers is the co-founder of powerhouse lobbying firm Barbour Griffith & Rogers, which (with clients including Verizon, Lorillard Tobacco Co. and the government of India) reported revenue of $19 million in 2005. McLean, Virginia, and Surrey Hill, is becoming the psychic center of the Washington Republican establishment and is filled with people who impeached Bill Clinton and elected U.S. President George W. Bush.
