An Executive Order dated August 22, 2006 issued by U.S. President George W. Bush is presented. Executive Order 13410 was issued to promote quality and efficient health care. It directs health care agencies to improve the use of health information technology, establish standards for quality of service, make pricing information transparent and facilitate the provision of high-quality and efficient service to beneficiaries.
