The article discusses the benefits of foam rollers in yoga routine. Roller training originated in rehabilitation therapy to aid in balance, stability and muscle strength. Foam rollers resemble the foam noodles used in the pool, but they are thicker and solid, usually six inches in cylindrical diameter and can vary from 12 to 36 inches in length. Rollers help improve balance reactions, body awareness and muscular conditioning by activating mental and physical coordination while holding the yoga poses.
