    • Abstract:
The article presents an interview with historian Paul Kennedy. When asked if the United Nations (UN) is doing the job that it was originally intended to do, Kennedy replies that the world would be in worse shape than it is without the UN. He believes that the UN and other countries are more critical of the United States because it has the most power to influence international policy. He also states that the UN troops are not prepared for the heavy fighting they are seeing in southern Lebanon.
