- Abstract:
The article discusses why the United States has continually at the Ryder Cup since 2004. Former United States Ryder Cup team member Jackie Burke says part of the problem is that players are becoming accustomed to luxuries given to them by golf associations. He criticizes the amount of money that the PGA spends on tournaments each year, saying that it is excessive and could be used for more productive programs. Burke gives advice to future captains who are preparing a team for the Ryder Cup.
