Academic Remediation and Behavior Modification in a Summer-School Camp.

The article focuses on how a summer-school camp can be used for academic remediation programs and behavior modification in children, with specific mention of such program developed in Indiana. As teachers, parents and school administrators were virtually failure to take on the disruptive classroom behavior, a special program for disruptive children was developed. The program was innovative in the sense that children were taken out of the surroundings of class and home and teachers and parents that they hate. Only those activities were included in the program which the children demanded.
