    • Abstract:
The author reflects on the boycotting of programs of cooperation with the Soviet Union. He disagrees with the claim of boycott proponents that the interchanges of idea and people are for the benefit of the Soviet system. He believes that the interchanges, particularly in the field of science, were to offer the Soviet intellectuals and people an opportunity to experience the outside world.
