    • Abstract:
The article discusses the use of coins in teaching chemistry and history. In this article the experience of a teacher was described involving the organization of a lesson done by first distributing a selection of coins with various levels of corrosion to each group of students. She asked the students to clean their coins by wiping off most of the oil with a cloth and rinsing them with distilled water. In the course of the experiment, history subjects were easily integrated since the study of the figures of the coins also discloses their origins, whether they are a Greek or a silver Roman coin, or even a Prussian coin.
