    • Subject Terms:
    • Abstract:
This article contains the analysis of the economic situation of El Salvador during the first semester of this year. Apart from the indispensable themes, one special section has been dedicated to the aspects related to the effectiveness of the market in generating well-being, with the climate of existing competition in the country and with the roll of the state. Also, the main macroeconomic results of the countries during the period mentioned are stated. In this sense, the economic results show that the country continues on the way of insufficient growth and macroeconomic disequilibrium. Improving this situation is possible not by the signing of more treaties of free trade or by the introduction of new economic laws, but by the State which should resume its functions. [TRANSLATION]
