      The article reports on the plan of EMC Corp. to release $500 million worth of investment and to start a software development center in Shanghai, China as announced in June 2006 in the U.S. The facility is part of EMC's global program for research and development which consist of $1.2 billion investment. While the Shanghai software center is seen to employ 100 people for the present year, it is expected to have 500 employees in reaching 2008. Aside from China, the company has also started investing in India which may extend to $500 million by 2010.
