This article reports on an exploratory study about acupuncture that was completed by a protocol-utilizing women's program of the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association in Toronto, Ontario, which they have submitted for journal publication. According to the authors of the study, acupuncture is considered an effective alternative treatment to anxiolytics in dealing with cravings, depression and anxiety. A brief background about the Jean Tweed Center is presented. Several recommendations are given.
