      The article explains why the Richland College in Dallas, Texas has received the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality award. The community college has maintained a culture of high quality performance. To reach its goal of excellence, the school decided to adopt the seven Baldrige categories of criteria: leadership; strategic planning; student, stakeholder and market focus; information and analysis; faculty and staff focus; process management; and organizational performance results.
