    • Abstract:
The article reports that the country band the Dixie Chicks was forced to postpone U.S. tour dates due to slow ticket sales. Singer Natalie Maines' well-publicized comments criticizing U.S. President George W. Bush as well as little radio play and an audience made up of casual listeners rather than country-music fans have all contributed to the Dixie Chicks's troubles. The band will play expanded dates in Australia, Europe and Canada, where their single "Not Ready to Make Nice" has become a hit.
