      The author reflects on the study of archaeologists Laurie A. Wilkie and Kevin M. Bartoy concerning critical theory in archaeology. According to the author, the study of Wilkie and Bartoy should foster considerable discussion among those concerned with epistemological issues relating to archaeology. He added that their exploration of some positive interpretive avenues, such as proposing that historical archaeology should not be interpreted only as the archaeology of capitalism.
