    • Abstract:
The article focuses on the discovery of an Indonesian mountain jungle in the Foja mountains in western New Guinea. Among the discoveries by a expedition team from the U.S., Indonesia, and Australia, a new type of honeyeater bird, a rare tree kangaroo, never before seen in Indonesia. There are more than 20 species of frogs, four species of butterflies and five new palms. Expedition coleader Bruce Beehler, who works for Conservation International, said that it was probably the largest pristine tropical forest in Asia. Beehler has called the jungle as close to the Garden of Eden.
