      The article ponders on the return of tennis player Martina Hingis. The author's initial meeting with Hingis was at the French Open. The excitement felt by author upon knowing that Hingis was ending her three-year retirement is revealed. Because of the increasing pace of the sport and her physical issues, the author thinks that Hingis was able to justify her early retirement. This is a great time for Hingis to make her return because the women's field is wide open again.
