      The article discusses the intrapersonal characteristics that make individuals susceptible to the influence of "Greek effect" on drinking. This study examined the potential moderating effect of self-consciousness between Greek involvement and drinking. It was conducted with college students. Moderators were private and public consciousness and by gender. Findings indicate that "Greek Effect" interacts with individual characteristics in order to effect drinking.
