    • Abstract:
The article reflects on the federal trial of Al Qaeda operative Zacarias Moussaoui, who was thought to be the twentieth hijacker and has pleaded guilty to six counts of conspiracy to commit terrorism. The participation of Moussaoui in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack in New York City is in doubt because he was in jail on September 11 due to his bumbling efforts to enroll in a flight school. The possible reason for Moussaoui to boast his imaginary role in 9/11 is to become a religious martyr.
