      The article reports on the survey about the benefits from computer technology in the U.S. Seventy percent of the respondents agreed that their standard of living is better today than it was 20 years ago. Majority of the respondents cited Microsoft Corp. founder and CEO Bill Gates as the individual who has made the biggest impact in the last 20 years. Half of the respondents considered the Internet as the most important technology. The respondents also credit the personal computer for increasing corporate efficiency.
