We need a broadband policy.

The article focuses on the implementation of a national broadband policy in the U.S. According to the author, a national broadband policy does not force people to spend money, however, it gives people with the opportunity to spend money if they wanted on a service that would arguably be more valuable to society than the telephone has been. The author has stated that without such a policy broadband will remain limited to those who live in the right places such as those areas that the telephone companies provide service at a profit.
