- Abstract:
This article discusses the increase in the popularity of hybrid vehicles, cars and trucks that run on a combination of a conventional engine and a battery-powered electric motor. Such vehicles consume far less fuel than those with internal combustion engines. As battery technology improves and more vehicles are produced the high costs of hybrid vehicles should begin to decline. The author foresees the advent of plug-in hybrid vehicles, cars that recharge overnight via the electric grid.
