      The article discusses the features of the Microsoft Office Live Web application launched in the U.S. in April 2006. Windows Live includes new electronic mail and instant messaging programs plus a customizable Live.com home page, which consumers can populate with their favorite blogs and mini applications. Office Live, meanwhile, provides small-business bonus services ranging from a free, basic, advertisement-supported Web page to subscription software bundles. Microsoft hopes third party software creators will create additional applets for Windows Live and Office Live.
