The article describes the School of Nursing and Student Community Center at Texas Medical Center in Houston designed by BNIM Architects. The award-winning building is an example of how restorative design strategies can re-establish the connection between buildings and nature. The construction of the building had cost $57 million and features classrooms, an auditorium, a cafe, a bookstore, a student lounge, student government offices, a research laboratory and faculty offices.
