    • Abstract:
The article analyzes music theory as mindset and as text. Verbal and other symbolic representation are some of the characteristics that a theory must have to be able to be called a mindset. It also discusses problems of composer Benjamin Boretz with music theorizing. It describes the attributes of uses of texts.
