- Abstract:
The article presents a question and answer advisory regarding the classification of lead as a very cancerous metal. Cancerous refers to the actual disease, as in a cancerous growth. The carcinogenic nature of elemental lead is somewhat controversial and there is debate as to its role in cancer. Moreover, metals play important roles as cofactors in various biochemical reactions.
