This article features John Underkoffler, a former professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and adviser to film producers and directors about scientific matters. Underkoffler helped provide an explanation for the bullet-proof skin of the Hulk. He also created the "Minority Report's" gestural interface and helped design "Aeon Flux's" futuristic city. As one of Hollywood's full-time science advisers, he hopes to reduce the gibberish and mitigate people's fear of science.
