      The article reports that the World Travel & Tourism Council's (WTTC) sixth Global Travel & Tourism Summit would be held during April 10-12, 2006 in Washington D.C. It is reported that the theme of the Washington summit will be "Open Mind, Open World," and the gathering will build on discussions that took place at the 2005 Global Summit last April in New Delhi, India. According to WTTC Chairman Vincent Wolfington, the New Delhi gathering was an example of the role the WTTC can play in encouraging tourism development in emerging economies. The WTTC membership comprises of the presidents, chairmen and CEO's of 100 of the world's major tourism companies.
