      The article focuses on the operation of military trucks with add-on armor (AOA). Trucks with AOA will under-steer at high speeds. It is important to reduce the speed before negotiating turns to make steering safer. The extra weight of the AOA affects operation of the engine exhaust brake. It will take longer to stop the truck. The truck should be properly ventilated at all times. The maintenance of military trucks involves the inspection of the AOA kit to find loose or missing bolts. The bolts of the AOA should not be over-tightened.
