The article focuses on the old rare wines of Maxim's, the famous restaurant in Paris, France. In this essay, Monsieur Premier, chief wine steward of Maxim's has introduced the wines that are known to Americans than Frenchmen. Premier recounted that before the war, an American bought the whole supply of certain exquisite vintage of the restaurant, had his name put on the shelf and consumed one bottle each time he came to dine.
