    • Abstract:
The article reports that the use of DNA evidence in courts is leading victims and advocates to call for an end to the statute of limitations on rape cases in New York. Currently cases cannot be tried after five years past the incident. The issue was brought to attention by the case of Fletcher A. Worrell, who was retried and convicted for a 1973 rape. Multiple women who saw his picture in the paper identified him as the man who has attacked them as many as 30 years before.
